ESO Surveyors has been selected to perform the early survey works on the $360mill Torrens Rail Junction project in Bowden on the fringe of the Adelaide CBD.
The project involves the removal of the level crossing at Park Terrace by lowering the Outer Harbor rail line below both the interstate rail line and the adjacent Inner Ring Route (Park Terrace). The lowered rail line will extend for a length of approximately 1.4 kilometers.
ESO’s teams are busy, day and night, locating services, surveying existing rail infrastructure, setting out piling and marking corridor boundaries.
The principal contractor, Connexion Alliance, is a consortium of Laing O’Rourke, AECOM and Kellogg, Root & Brown. An accelerated programme is hoping for completion of construction at the end of 2017.
