ESO is completing its work on the $150mill Southern Freight Link project in Sydney’s South West for Leighton Contractors.
Leighton Contractors had been selected by Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) to deliver the final stage of the Southern Sydney Freight Line (SSFL) in an Alliance contract. The Alliance was to complete the construction of a 31km dedicated freight line between Macarthur and Leightonfield in southern Sydney. The SSFL will provide a third track in the rail corridor specifically for freight services, allowing passenger and freight services to operate independently. (text from www.ssfl.artc.com.au)
ESO have been involved in the project since it began in October last year providing Construction and Cadastral services to Leightons.
Up to 5 ESO crews have been working on the site and the project looks set for delivery within its programmed timeframe of November this year.
