Work continues on the $825mill Hunter Expressway Alliance near Newcastle in NSW.
Thiess, in alliance with Parsons Brinkerhoff (PB) and Hyder Consulting, were awarded the eastern section of the $1.7 billion Hunter Expressway Project in NSW. The Alliance section is 13.3km long and the project involves building a four-lane divided highway from the end of the Newcastle Link Road to Kurri Kurri in the Hunter Valley. ESO have been working on the project since it started construction in 2010 with up to 6 surveyors on site at any time.
This project represents another successful relationship with Thiess. ESO previously provided survey teams to Thiess on its last major RMS project on the Pacific Highway Upgrade at Coopernook in 2007-2009.
ESO Senior Surveyor, Keith Saville has been instrumental for us on both projects.
