The latest section of the perilous Great Western Highway through NSW’s Blue Mountains to be upgraded is the Hazelbrook to Woodford section.

Reed Constructions have engaged ESO Surveyors as Project Surveyor on this two-year $65mill project.

The work to be carried out under the contract involves the reconstruction and upgrading of 3.2 km of the Great Western Highway in the City of the Blue Mountains, between Winbourne Rd Hazelbrook and Station St Woodford. The works also include the relocation and installation of utilities, widening of the existing carriageway from one lane in each direction to a four lane divided carriageway, construction of over 5000m2 of concrete retaining walls, upgrading and installation of new road drainage to minimize impacts of flooding, property adjustments, works in the Blue Mountains Railway Corridor and Road Finishing Works.
